Our recipe of the week comes in the form of a tasty breakfast that can double up as a dessert! Apple and Cinnamon Waffles!
Apple and Cinnamon Waffles
This vegan recipe from Belgium provides a wonderful start to the day and can be used to make waffles or pancakes (just add more liquid for pancakes). Great with tofu ice cream, syrup and cinnamon sugar.
½ cup white flour
½ cup whole wheat flour
2 Tbsp baking powder
½ tsp cinnamon
1 cup soy or non-dairy milk
½ cup apple sauce
Combine the dry ingredients and mix.
Add the soy milk and apple sauce.
Pour into an oiled waffle iron.
Cook until golden brown.
Add more liquid to make pancakes instead of waffles.
Serves 2 people
