Bringing Your Damaged Hair Back To Life

The past year has been a very busy one for me with regards to work and just life in general, and often, we tend to focus on so many other things that we neglect ourselves in the process. One thing I have noticed recently is the important role our hair plays in our lives.

A lot of people see their hair as a reflection of their identity. Just think about it, when you are stressed or when you don’t look after your body and eat healthily, this shows on your skin and your hair. A bad hair day often results in a bad day!

I recently came across an article that read “Why Is Hair Important To Women” and thought I would share some of what they had to say:

• Femininity: History shows that hair is a symbol of femininity. During the civil war when women weren’t allowed to battle, hundreds of women soldiers disguised themselves as men by cutting off their hair, eventually being imprisoned upon discovery.

• Identity: It’s no wonder women feel like their hair is a “crowning glory,” as this phrase dates back to Biblical times. According to 1 Corinthians 11: 15, “but for a woman, if her hair is abundant, it is a glory to her; for her hair is given to her for a covering.”

• Freedom and beauty: Lady Godiva’s naked ride through the streets has made her a heroine to the ordinary people of Coventry. The image of Lady Godiva riding a horse with her body covered with only her long hair has become a symbol of political freedom and beauty.

• Liberation: In the 1950s, female communists and soldiers in China favored a short bob cut just below the ears. This simple hairstyle was named the “Liberation Hairdo” because it is a symbol of women taking control over their own lives. Women continue to use their hairdo to express themselves.

My Hair Journey

I recently started using the fantastic Gary Rom Haircare Range, which has, so far been phenomenal in so many ways!

About Gary Rom Haircare

Gary Rom has been at the forefront of hair design for over 20 years, and it was only a matter of time before
He created his own hair care range. Gary Rom Haircare started out in 2010 when a well respected
product manufacturing company approached Gary and asked if he would be interested in starting his
very own hair care range.

There were a few important points to consider:

The product would have to out-perform any product on the market, ie. it needed to be as good, if not
better than any other professional hair care product available.

The Range

The Gary Rom Haircare range has a large variety of products available to suit all hair types and needs. From the various ranges, I am currently using: The Blonde Brilliance Shampoo, The Cortex Repair Conditioner, The Hydro-Defense Heat protector, as well as the six-week intense ‘Silk Force’ Treatment.

Blonde Brilliance Shampoo

A shampoo that builds strength, adds shine and restores elasticity. The Blonde Brilliance range is perfect for blonde hair and helps keep it shiny, healthy and gets rid of any yellow undertones.

Cortex Repair Conditioner

A conditioner for stressed and damaged hair. Cortex repairs the internal structure of the hair, for intense nutrition and shine. This conditioner leaves your hair feeling silky soft and easy to brush after rinsing it.

Hydro Defense Heat Protector

Leave in care that provides protection against heat appliances. This product is great to use before applying heat to the hair, it is also very moisturizing and doesn’t leave your hair feeling sticky or greasy.

Silk Force Treatment

A complete treatment for damaged hair

Tube A: a strengthening and repairing treatment with immediate results
Tube B: a nourishing and moisturizing treatment with immediate results

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

Use the treatment tubes from left to right in correct order, completing the six-week course. Start with tube A in week one, followed by tube B in week two, and so on. Shampoo the hair, rinse and towel dry. Apply the entire treatment on the whole head, massage/comb through. Leave the treatment on the hair for 10 minutes, emulsify and then rinse. If product comes into contact with eyes rinse immediately.

I am now in week 3 of the treatment, and I can already see a drastically beautiful change in my hair.
