After having described what Live means to me, I now Embrace: To embrace something, is to welcome it with open arms, hold, hug or accept entirely. Embrace is from the French verb embrasser, which meant “to clasp in the arms” (but now includes kissing).
What a beautiful word embrace is. It inspires me to put out not only my arms, but my heart, head and soul, and to embrace every person, experience, feeling, and object, in this wonderful universe of ours. To embrace is to throw ourselves into life’s experiences actually and to enjoy every moment. To embrace another human being is more than hugging them, and more like welcoming them with a warm heart into your world.
I understand that not all experiences are good experiences, but we can embrace the negative ones, by feeling our pains and sorrows, and working our way through them until we heal. By acknowledging them, we will eventually ease the pains, but if don’t embrace them, and push these feeling aside, they will only fester to become safer and more hurtful.
“That hurt we embrace becomes joy. Call it to your arms where it can change”. ~Rumi
We should all embrace our environment
As the beauty of nature welcomes us into its the world. We should treat it with the love and respect it deserves. There are so many ways in which we can all contribute to saving the planet, and if each of us embraces the opportunity, it will help the world to start healing.
“Our task must be to free ourselves… by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and it’s beauty.”― Albert Einstein
We all battle with change, but if we can Embrace it, it is so much easier to accept. It makes it far less traumatic, and can often turn what seemed negative into a positive situation.
