I’ve enjoyed green tea for many years. However, after I tried an almond milk matcha latte, I fell in love with it.  And, after reading about all the remarkable health benefits of matcha, there’s no turning back.

It’s considered one of the most powerful super foods today! In fact, because of all the care goes into its production, it delivers a unique flavour and an excellent dose of antioxidants. I just can’t get enough of it! I’ve even started adding it to into my morning smoothies and green juices. Today, I want to share five fantastic reasons to fall in love with matcha green tea and enjoy it on the regular as I do.

 

1. It is very rich in antioxidants

Did you know that just one cup of matcha provides a whopping three times the amount of antioxidants as regular green tea? Yes, it does! In fact, it’s the highest-rated by the ORAC (oxygen radical absorbance capacity) method.

2. It gives you a natural energy boost

If you get your energy boost from coffee, you might want to kiss it goodbye. Matcha is the best energy enhancer, without the pesky caffeine jitters, that is! It contains about half the amount of caffeine than regular coffee, so go on and get that well needed energy boost.

3. It can help you lose fat

If you’re trying to lose fat and boost your metabolism, matcha can lend you some serious help. This is all thanks to its super-high concentration of catechins, an essential antioxidant that helps with fat oxidisation.

4. It offers immune system support
