Flower Infusion Friday
Happy Friday you wonderful people.
Here is a chilled home made infusion , to wind down after a long week. Quick and easy.
So it has been a 1 month of no smoking, I am super stoked about that, and this has inspired me to start something new and exciting every month, or stop something bad that no longer serves me. This is a wonderful way to achieve goals and see results, as well as enjoy the process of your task.
So many of my goals for this year revolve around creativity (Cooking, painting, reading etc…) and I figured Monday to Friday is so treacherous with work and pressure, what a better way to wind down with a chilled alcoholic beverage on the rocks.. Trying to be healthy and all, I figured my new found Friday ritual will be a flower infusion. I am obsessed with dried flowers and herbs, and infusing teas for certain health benefits, and through my knowledge I have learnt that the active ingredient to these wonderful concoctions is alcohol.
This is a super easy, delicious recipe and something to try for the weekend 🙂
6 chamomile tea bags
32 fluid ounces (4 cups) hot water
4 tablespoons honey
(Ice the shit out of it and then throw in the rest of the ingredients below)
2 orange slices
3 lemon slices
Serve with whiskey on the rocks and decorate with fresh chamomile flowers (optional) – I actually found these at the local nursery down the road- they also grow wild in parts of Cape Town :).
This is such a healthy alternative – Fresh and delicious.
so have a lekker weekend and keep an eye out for more Friday Flower Infusions.
