Celebrity makeup artist Monika Blunder shares the inspiration and rundown of the look she created for Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party appearance
“The dress Rosie wore was a beautiful dark green with sequins, mermaid-like, very structured and modern. I wanted the makeup to be soft and luminous, with the focus on beautiful skin. I created an edgy look but one that wasn’t overpowering, to keep the focus on the dress.”
2. Lightly contour the cheeks to illuminate. First, use Lowlight Sculpting Perfector™ to create a shadow, followed by Beach Tint Shimmer Soufflé in Guava/Moonstone, and finish with Shimmering Skin Perfector™ in Moonstone to highlight.
3. Use a black gel eyeliner on the upper lash line to create a precise, perfected line starting very thin at the inner corners and gradually thickening out with a slight wing at the outside.
4. Apply a golden dark brown shadow on the outer eyes to give definition, and mix two lighter, sparkly golds all-over lids to create a shimmery, monochromatic look. Finish with a few coats of Ultimate Mascara in Black, and sculpt brows for a defined look.
5. Press Blotting Powder Perfector™ in Translucent on the t-zone to keep it matte, but keep the rest of the face glowy and luminous. To finish off the look, add a few swipes of Ultimate Colour Gloss in Fallen Angel for a hint of color.
