Lack of time and money are the two biggest barriers for people who want to get fit . Buying expensive equipment to use at home and hitting the gym every day can be a big stumbling block.

If these things are your biggest excuse, then you’re in luck. Because, today, I’m going to show you that you don’t need buy any fancy equipment or take out a gym membership to get fit!

 

 

Four ways you can get in shape without exercising

1. Always plan your meal times

If you want to maximize fat loss and muscle building, you have to plan your meal times. It’s important to eat breakfast within an hour of waking up. Furthermore, try to eat every four to six hours in the day. Ensure you pack your meals with a nutritious combination of slow-low carbohydrates, non-starchy vegetables, healthy fats and lean protein. And if you can, take a multivitamin.

2. Increase your protein intake

If you want to build muscle and prevent muscle breakdown, eat high-protein foods like lentils, quinoa, grass-fed beef and wild-caught salmon. If you can’t add enough protein-rich foods to your diet, then try drinking protein shakes for breakfast. It’s important to make sure they’re soy and dairy free to prevent inflammation.

3. Reduce your stress levels

Chronic stress can cause your cortisol (stress hormone) levels to rise. This can then lead to fat storage and muscle breakdown. Yes, it’s impossible to eliminate stress completely, but you have to try to manage it. So, find activities that calm your body and mind. This will help you renew your energy.

4. Catch up on your sleep

Little sleep is linked to weight gain. So, try to get at least eight hours of quality sleep every night. This will not only help your body repair but recover too. If sleeping is not easy for you, then try doing meditation or breathing exercises before you go to bed. It will become easier if you make this your night-time routine. You can also try drinking a cup of warm milk or chamomile tea before bed.
