Our recipe of the week this week comes from the food and lifestyle brand Nomu. We picked it because, as we are in Winter, we deserve Winter decadence. Decadent Chocolate Cups!
170g NoMU Decadent Hot Chocolate
3 tbsp NoMU Cocoa Powder, sieved
2 cups fresh cream
3 tbsp granulated white sugar
4 egg yolks
1 pump NoMU Vanilla Paste
Place the NoMU Decadent Hot Chocolate pieces and NoMU Cocoa Powder in a bowl and mix well.
Add the cream, sugar, egg yolks and vanilla paste together in a thick glass bowl and whisk until combined. Place the glass bowl over a pot of simmering water and constantly stir the cream mixture with a wooden spoon, making sure that the mixture does not come to the boil. When the cream mixture starts to thicken slightly and completely coats the back of the wooden spoon add the chocolate and cocoa mixture and stir until all the chocolate has melted.
Take the glass bowl off the heat and pour the chocolate pudding into 4-6 small tea or espresso cups.
Allow the chocolate pudding cups to set in the fridge for 3-4 hours before serving.
Delicious served with fine butter biscuits and a dollop of whipped cream.
