Recipe Of The Week – Detox Smoothie

Detox Smoothie
We come into contact with way more toxins than our bodies can handle. And, because you don’t properly support your body’s natural detoxification system, it can quickly raise your toxic burden and lead to chronic disease.

This is why you have to detox every now and then. And, the best way to this is by drinking this delicious green smoothie that packs loads of digestive system-healing ingredients such as mint and aloe.



Detox green detox smoothie recipe

1 lime, zest and juice
One cup coconut milk
1 tbsp protein powder
½ cup of ice, to thicken
3 tbsp coconut yoghurt
1 frozen banana
1 small zucchini
½ medium avocado, no skin
1 tsp superfood greens
1 probiotic capsule, emptied

Sunflower seeds
Shredded coconut
Flaked almonds

In a blender, add all ingredients except coconut yogurt. Blend until a smooth, but thick consistency is formed. You may need to blend in some extra ice to thicken. Pour into your favorite breakfast bowl. Swirl in coconut yoghurt and top with seeds, nuts, coconut and your favorite fruit.
