Eat your bananas and you’ll lower your blood pressure. Bananas are rich in potassium and a diet rich in potassium can protect against high blood pressure. Potassium appears to work by stimulating the body to get rid of sodium, which in turn lowers blood pressure. However, don’t run out to buy potassium supplements. Too much potassium in the blood (hyperkalemia) is much more serious and life-threatening than low potassium (hypokalema). So get it naturally especially by eating bananas.
