How Vitamin C Can Help You Trim Belly Fat

And, we all know belly fat isn’t just a cosmetic problem. It can indicate that you’re at a higher risk of developing several serious but preventable health conditions.

How vitamin C works the fat off your belly

Vitamin C known it “abscorbic acid,” is a water-soluble vitamin. In addition to boosting the immune system, lowering hyper tension and preventing scurvy, vitamin C also plays a role in helping you get the trimmed ‘n toned figure you want.

According to a study published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, the higher the vitamin C content in blood samples of both male and female participants, the lower the waist-to-hip ratio. In another study conducted by University of Arizona researchers, they found that people with a higher amount of vitamin C in their system oxidised 25% more fat during a treadmill test than those with “marginal” vitamin C status.

You see, your body need vitamin C is to produce of molecules used in oxidation, or metabolism, of fatty tissue. However, without sufficient vitamin C, your body can’t use stored fat. This then causes it to buildup, especially around the abdominal area.

Broccoli
Red cabbage
Green pepper
Strawberries
Tomatoes
Kiwi
Raspberries
Pineapple
Brussels Sprouts

Cauliflower
Blueberries

As much as it’s not easy to overdose on Vitamin C since it is water soluble, it is possible. So, try not to take it on an empty stomach as this leads to indigestion. Furthermore, avoid taking large dosages of C at a time can as this causes diarrhea, nausea and disturbed sleep.
