What really is MCT oil?
Think of MCT as a concentrated form of coconut oil. The extremely healthy saturated fat in coconut oil is comprised of MCT (medium chain triglycerides). And, MCT oil is a concentrated form of that fat.

It doesn’t metabolise it through the digestion process like other fats, but your body takes MCTs straight to your liver where they act similar to carbohydrates; providing instant, well-sustained energy. MCTs have many other health benefits
They also boost metabolism (especially fat metabolism), improve blood sugar regulation, better thyroid function, and can also improve appetite regulation. This is why MCTs are great remedies for so many ailments, including diabetes, dementia and cystic fibrosis.

You can eat a spoonful of coconut oil each morning, use coconut oil instead of butter on your toast or add one tablespoon of coconut oil into your favorite smoothie recipe. You can also use it in bulletproof coffee, to pop corn or as a popcorn topping. I enjoy coconut oil on baked potatoes.
